Facebook Page
The 'Facebook Page' mission
"To Bring Together News and Information from Multiple Sources into a Single Stream"
If you are interested in the natural world, and also a Facebook user, then the 'Wild Side of Sidmouth' nature page is for you! The 'Wild Side' website is a very specific project looking at the wild places of the lower Sid Valley, the factors that influence the natural environment, the primary habitats found and the biodversity of the various networks of sites of natural interest. This is, of course, just a small part of a much bigger picture.
On the 'Wild Side of Sidmouth' Facebook page we follow posts from several organisation and groups and bring them all together in one place for our users benefit. It also enables us to keep up to date with what is happening and keep our primary content up to date as changes are announced. The Facebook pages followed are (in particular order!):
Sid Vale Association
Sidmouth Arboretum
Sidmouth in Bloom
Friends of the Byes
Vision Group Sidmouth
River Sid Catchment Group
Pebblebed Heaths Conservation Trust
Clinton Devon Estates
East Devon National Landscape
East Devon Countryside - National Trust
Wild East Devon
Devon Wildlife Trust
Devon Local Nature Partnership
In addition, the 'Wild Side' posts regular features about local wild life sites and sightings. We cannot directly post from the Sid Valley Biodiversity Group as their Facebook presence is as a 'group' not a 'page' and so is not shareable but some posts do appear where they have been shared from the group itself.
If you are involved with any other body with a nature focus within the East Devon regiion and would like us to follow your page too then please get in touch. The current list is just those we could find!
