Bite Sized Learning?
Objectives
EXPLAIN some specific ideas or issues in greater than detail than is required in the primary texts on this website
EXPLORE some often controversial or worrying issues that affect the wild side of Sidmouth
EXAMINE some significant species or habitats who have an important bearing on the wildlife of Sidmouth
Improve Your Knowledge of the wild side of Sidmouth
Whilst many people would like to know more about the wild places of the Sidmouth area and the nature recovery processes that are shaping the future of the town and valley not everyone wants to immerse themselves in a concerted study project and would prefer to learn and expand their knowledge gradually, over a period of time in 'bite size' pieces.
To meet the needs of the 'bite size' enthusiasts every couple of days or so an introduction to a part of the content with a link to the text on that subject are posted to Facebook and to Blogger to enable people to pursue a slower, gradual expansion of their knowledge, perhaps being selective in what items particularly interest them. Details of the two available options to receive the notification posts are shown below.
Both of these platforms offer you the opportunity to comment and ask questions. Obviously feed back in terms of likes and shares are very much appreciated and help get the news about nature recovery in the Sid Valley to a wider audience.
Thanks!
If you are a Facebook user then following the 'Wild Side of Sidmouth' page is the best option to ensure you get the notifications. If you already follow the Sid Valley Biodiversity Group page you may also find the posts appear there. Use the link above to go to the "Wild Side" Facebook page and click 'follow'.
Blogger
For non-Facebook users the Blogger option is an alternative to consider. This provides three different ways to be notified of when a new topic is featured:
The Blog has a link to 'Follow It' so that you can sign-up to receive a notification by email
The Blog has a link to an RSS feed which, if you use an RSS reader, you can add the 'Wild Side' feed to
You can add the Blog to favourites in your browser and just visit the Blogger website every few days
